a non-profit initiative created by Cleo Gray + Crystal Arnette to nurture, promote & connect underrepresented voices in the arts – working to dismantle systemic issues which can hold back women, non-binary, LGBTQIA+, ethnic minority & disabled makers utilizing of-the-moment media tools and support. SEQUIN was launched in May 2017, three days after The Women’s March and are proud to be visible fruit of that labor.
What to look for from SEQUIN in 2018:
The launch of The MAKERS List, an interactive database of MAKERS which will cross mediums and work towards uniting creatives from around the world, providing them with a wealth of options for intersectional collaboration.
How do you solve a problem like representation in the arts? These two women are here to tackle it.
